Best of Both Worlds
The post World War II era on a barrier island on the coast of New Jersey proved to be a wondrous time and place to be born and grow up. Winter friends, summer acquaintances, and hometown influences helped to shape the life of one woman.
As childhood morphed into adulthood, the discovery of another place, full of new challenges and revelations came to her attention. The Adirondack Park in New York State, with its six million acres of natural, untamed wilderness, became a new territory to adopt as her own.
