Join us this October for a uniquely Adirondack experience. To celebrate our 2019 special exhibit Curious Creatures: Taxidermy in the Adirondacks, in partnership with Morbid Anatomy, we invite you to two days of distinctive programs, tours, screenings, and conversations. Over the course of the weekend, you will meet foremost taxidermy scholars, naturalists, artists, and collectors. Presenters will include British historian Dr. Pat Morris; renowned taxidermist George Dante (Wildlife Preservations); Robert Marbury (Minnesota Association of Rogue Taxidermists and author of Taxidermy Art); Ronni Thomas (director of "The Man Who Married Kittens"); Divya Anantharaman (Gotham Taxidermy), and Adirondack artist Barney Bellinger.
Saturday evening celebrate your totemic animal at the Curious Creatures Masquerade. For this early Halloween festivity, become your own curious creature and share a bit of your fierce nature. All species welcome, exceptional plumage appreciated, and colorful ones encouraged. Buffett dinner will be held at the historic Adirondack Hotel in the hamlet of Long Lake.
