Robin Lazore is a Mohawk from Akwesasni and has been making traditional mohawk baskets for most of her life. Lazore uses black ash and sweetgrass to craft unique baskets of different shapes, sizes, and significance. Her use of traditional techniques helps to preserve and carry on the art of Mohawk basket making.
